Traffic Light Controller

The TLC is responsible for coordinating traffic lights and other peripheral infrastructure such as pedestrian/cyclist buttons or accessible pedestrians signals. It is a physical box installed at the intersection, connected with (often analog) wires to the infrastructure. It has a safety matrix built-in that ensures unsafe configurations (e.g. green light in every direction) are not possible. These can be connected with an ITSApp through wire/glass fiber or a cellular connection.
